Despite the nation’s affluence, a significant portion of the population grapples with housing insecurity, with individuals & families finding themselves without a stable place to call home. Factors such as skyrocketing housing costs, insufficient mental health services, & a shortage of affordable housing contribute to the crisis.
Suitcases for Stability is CORE’s initiative to provide individuals experiencing homelessness with rolling suitcases as a safer, more dignified alternative to carrying or hiding their belongings in bags or carts. These suitcases offer secure storage, mobility, and a sense of ownership and stability during a time of uncertainty.
By meeting this practical need, we’re helping our unhoused neighbors protect what little they have — and move forward with confi dence.
